The Alpha Course

What is the Alpha Course?

"The Alpha course is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment."  Each week there will be a short talk about the Christian Faith, followed by discussion in small groups where you can ask questions and share your thoughts.

When is it?

The next/current (Friends International in Guildford) Alpha course will be held on Wednesday afternoons from 4th May to 22nd June 2016, 3pm to 5pm at Derek and Gerry Wensley's home (59 Ashenden Road, GU2 7XD - close to Tesco):  Meet outside GSA building on campus at 2.45pm to walk to Derek's home together.

Each week we will study a different topic about the Christian faith, so it doesn't matter if you can't attend every week.

Come and join us for tea, coffee and cake, find out more about what Christians believe and ask all your questions.

For more information, or if you would like to attend this course, please contact Ruth Archer.
Or to find out more about the Alpha Course in general, visit the Alpha website.

Who is it for?

The Alpha course is for people who know little or nothing about the Bible and want to find out what the Bible teaches.

Friends International in Guildford run a simple English version of this course.

What does it cost?

There is no cost to join a Alpha course.  Simply email Ruth Archer.

What about other courses?

Other courses are run by churches in Guildford at different times of the year.  Christianity Explored Courses, The Visa Course, and Moving On Courses also offer you the chance to find our more about Christianity and the Bible.  For details of when these courses are next running, please email Hugh Griffin.
